WHO WE ARE :
The Jasper Environmental Association (JEA) is a registered non- profit society functioning as an independent environmental monitor in Jasper National Park. We have no political affiliations.
We identify issues that might adversely affect the wilderness and wildlife of the park. We take action to resolve them by referral to legislation and scientific research. We lobby Park managers in Jasper and decision-makers in Ottawa. We take our concerns to the Canadian public and serve as a resource centre for national environmental groups needing information on park issues. We seek advice from Ecojustice Canada.

Our aim
To support Parks Canada in administering Jasper National Park in accordance with Canadian legislation, Parks Canada principles and policies and the wishes of the Canadian public.
Funding
We are funded through membership subscription fees of $5.00 annually. We welcome new members and donations but because of our advocacy role we do not have charitable status and therefore cannot issue tax-deductible receipts.
